Our driver will be waiting for you right in front of your ship, ready to take you directly to Rome for an enchanting day covering all the must see sites. Every tour includes your pick up and return at Civitavecchia dock or at Rome hotel, if you have baggage from/to your hotel, airport and ship, you can add customized tours to tranfers. Our vehicle have a special pass to enter Civitavecchia dock, arriving in front of the pier of your ship. The tipical Shore Excursion start by pick up at 8.00am from the pier of your ship and coming back to the port at roughly 5.00pm, starting from Rome at 3.30pm. If you prefer, you can share the shore tour and the price with other tourists you will meet on board, but in this case, tell us the exact number of people at least 48 hours in advance. We generally go to: Colosseum, Roman Forum, race circus (Circo Massimo), Venice square, Trevi fountain, Spenish steps, Pantheon, Navona square and usually we stop for a lunch in "campo dei fiori"(characteristic square where you can find local market, restaurants and finger food). After lunch we will go to discover the wonderfull area of ancient Appia way, the Aurelian wall, the Cecilia Metella Mausoleum. You can walk on the same way that the ancient Romans used; we will also visit one of the many Roman catacombs, the ticket costs is 8€ per person, it is not included in the rate of tour and you can buy it directly there and you will have an enlish guide inside included( a jacket is recommended because it is a bit cold inside). Then we will go to visit the Garibaldi area (Gianicolo hill) where you can admire the whole skyline of Rome and take some beautiful photos. The sequence of the stops may have same changes, this will depend on traffic or various events. Of course, we are entirely flexible, if there is a special place that you want to see, just let us know. It is not included lunch and entrance fees, please dress respectfully for visiting religious monuments and museums, local custom requires covering knees and shoulder.
